Von der Aufnahme Speak of the Devil
Songtext
The train pulled in in the pouring rain,
and this college town will never be the same.
A sharp dressed man with a handsome smile,
says: “Hello, i’ll stay for a while.“
So he strolled through the streets mostly unnoticed by men.
Sat down in a smoky bar drinking Hendrick’s gin.
Checked the crowd, rolled the dice,
a young girl with Spanish eyes.
So they checked in a cheap motel,
down by the lake you could hear the mosquito’s hum.
The silver moon shone straight on her back,
but later blood ran over her neck.
As the housemaid entered the room she was totally shocked.
Cause she’s never seen a body laying in a pool of blood.
The DNA told them who she was and where she lived
but her head never was found.
Another train pulled in at the dawn of day,
an ordinary spring, blue sky 11th of may.
A half-dressed girl with Spanish eyes,
in her hand she’s holding the dice.
